The territory of Fayence is made up of 8 hilltop villages with the charming 10th century village of Fayence as its chef-lieu.




A heritage in the skies and among the stones…


Fayence has an amazing architectural heritage, the most outstanding examples of which are a 17th century church, the Roman chapel of Notre-Dame des Cyprès, a 14th century Saracen gate, and a beautiful clock tower.

Dotted around Fayence’s roads you will come across many pretty fountains, all fed by the village water source.

A walk through the village’s twisting lanes and shady little squares will eventually bring you to the Place du Château from where you can enjoy 360° unimpeded views over the rooftops of Fayence village, the paragliding centre, and surrounding Estérel and Maures mountains.

Fayence-Tourrettes’ paragliding centre has been a reference in paragliding for 80 years. The school offers initiation flights lasting 25 minutes that take you over the territory of Fayence and its perched villages: Fayence, Tourrettes, Callian, Seillans and Mons.

Le 8 restaurant is the perfect place to recover from the thrill of paragliding. This charming eatery, tucked away in the lanes of Fayence’s foothills, will appeal to anyone who loves ‘the best’!

Le 8 offers exclusively homemade dishes and a warm friendly welcome. Jean-Louis and Nathalie Herbelot run this little corner of paradise with care and attention.

The menu includes creative, gourmet and platter dishes that draw on Italy and Provence’s celebrated fine cuisine.
