Festival of Roses and Plants

Every year in May, Villa Ephrussi revet its most beautiful colors to accommodate the Festival of Roses and Plants. What better than a gorgeous French garden as backdrop for such an event?

The Festival of Roses and Plants honors Baroness de Rothschild, who was in love with beautiful plants. At the time of the construction of the iconic Villa, she asked Harold Peto, the landscape architect to create her new gardens with different styles. Exhibitors take place in the French Garden: nursery, rose growers and garden professionals, and share their passion for this exciting world.

The Ephrussi de Rothschild Villa is preparing for the 7th annual Rose and Plant Festival. On 7 and 8 May, some twenty exhibitors, rose growers, nursery owners and professionals from the world of gardens are heading to the villa to pass on their passion and knowledge about flowers to the general public.

Walk through a plethora of climbing roses and ground-cover roses, both old and modern, in a huge range of colours (pink, red, yellow, white, orange) from the softest of pastels to the brightest red.

Whether a novice or more experienced gardener, the different exhibitors have something for everyone. Alongside the rose growers, in the avenues of the French garden you can find other professionals displaying rare plants, exotic or Mediterranean flowers, irises, citrus fruits and much more.

Several activities are also on offer to allow both adults and children to explore the world of plants: guided tours of the nine themed gardens at the Ephrussi de Rothschild Villa, workshops runs by florists to teach you to make bouquets, or by gardeners to learn the best way to repot plants.
