Monte-Carlo Rolex Master

The Monte Carlo Rolex Master is a grand professional tennis tournament established 1897 by the Monte Carlo Country Club. Since its creation, the tournament has run every year, interrupted only twice by the two world wars.

The tournament is played on clay courts and is one of the unmissable highlights of the ATP circuit, and as such is well-loved both by players and the public alike. The Monte Carlo Rolex Master’s magnificent setting, terraced grounds facing the Mediterranean, is no doubt one of the reasons why it has managed to draw some of the world’s most talented players: Bjorn Borg, Gustavo Kuerten, Juan Carlo Ferrero and Rafael Nadal.

This year, the tournament is played on Saturday 9 and Sunday, April 17 sees opposing players 56 knockout match. So far, the record holder for winning the tournament is Rafael Nadal who won 8 consecutive times (between 2005 and 2012). In 2015, the first title returned to Novak Djokovic. Who will win in 2016?
