Escapade Montauroux

On the doorstep of the department of the Alpes Maritimes, opposite the Estérel and Maures mountain ranges, lays Montauroux, located in the middle of Siagne country in the canton of Fayence. To understand Montauroux’s long history, just wander around the lanes of this pretty village.

Discovering the natural treasures of Montauroux and Fondurane nature park

It’s easy to explore the ‘natural’ side of Montauroux thanks to GPS walks and guided tours organised by the village. Montauroux Tourism Office boasts two open nature spaces, the Siagne and Fondurane nature parks.



Fondurane nature park is a very beautiful open space containing rivers, prairies, forests and even a lake. It is the perfect location for family walks, especially in autumn when the trees change colour, creating extremely beautiful scenery. Montauroux Tourism Office provides GPS to ensure that you get to see all the key places of interest.

The bamboos of Mandarins

This 10 year old bamboo forest is located in the territory of Pont de Siagne, just past Le Tignet. It contains over 80 varieties of bamboo. As you wander around its many shady paths, you are sure to see the forest’s stone Buddha, woody ferns and iris beds. You cannot help but be overcome by the serenity of the forest, and relaxed by the gentle sound of the shakuhachi (a Japanese bamboo flute).

Music shows and artisan entertainment are regularly hosted in the forest.
