For a nature park, Vaugrenier enjoys a unique location right next to the sea. Separated only by a beach road, Vaugrenier Nature Park boasts prairie, forest and wetland landscapes.
It also has an abundance of land-based wildlife: common rabbits, squirrels, non-venomous snakes, salamanders and foxes. The park has the only natural fresh water lake along the Alpes-Maritimes coastline, home to sedentary and migratory birds, which can be observed from its bird observatory.
The vast majority of the park is a forest, equipped with enjoyable fitness trails and walking paths. The park also includes a play field for children to enjoy, and has several tables and benches close to its car park.
Access:
From the A8 motorway, take the Villeneuve-Loubet exit and follow the signs for Antibes. Continue following the signs for Antibes on the RN7 national road.
The park entrance is immediately after Villeneuve-Loubet’s Activity Centre.
By foot, from Villeneuve-Loubet rail station travel eastward along the RN7 national road, the park entrance is a few hundred metres further along.
Parking:
There are several parking spaces on all the Park’s surrounding peripheral roads (Avenue du Logis-de-Bonneau, Avenue de Vaugrenier, Chemin du Parc-de-Vaugrenier, Boulevard des Groules).
