Built between 1932 and 1938, the Fort of Sainte-Agnès contained the most powerful concentration of artillery all along the Maginot Line. Clinging to the flank of a peak 780 m high, surveying the Bay of Menton, it is still equipped with its artillery in the bunkers. Many of the guns are still in working condition.
