The botanical garden of Nice is a pleasant park, ideal for family walks. Both fun and educational, this park which houses over 3500 species offers a panoramic view of the Plaine du Var and the Alps and the Esterel.
Here, plants are intentionally left as they live in nature, no cutting or unnecessary ornamentation, the botanical garden is dedicated to the study of plant life, so do not be surprised to see dead or broken branches. Plant species present in the botanical garden of Nice are mostly Mediterranean and spread over the 3.5 hectares of the park. There are also plants from South Africa, Australia, the Middle East or the Canary Islands. A beautiful collection of agaves is presented in the area of Mexico while the Sages are one of the largest collections of the garden.
It's a nice place where you can stroll alone or with family. A playground is there to please the little ones while a picnic area is available for all gourmets.
