1968 : Beginning of the Battle of Khe Sanh


On January 21, 1968, Vietnam People's Army attacked the American base at Khe Sanh near the Laotian border in South Vietnam. The battle lasted 77 days.

1976 : First Concordes


On January 21, 1976, the first commercial flights of Concorde took off : one from London to Bahrain, the other from Paris to Rio de Janeiro.
