Whether a loved one is addicted to cocaine

Cocaine is addictive very quickly. Therefore, it is better to recognize addiction in a relative as soon as possible to cope with before damage become irreversible.
We can start by looking at the person's eyes: if the pupils are very small even at night, we can have some suspicions.
One of the effects of addiction to cocaine, when it is snorted, is the deterioration of the nasal cavity, which causes frequent nosebleeds.
One can also examine the body language: twitching, involuntary movements, nervousness accompanied by feeling of being overpowered.
Then, we can study the excuses that are given for absences, requests for money, delays, all increasingly common.
One effect is joining new circles of friends : the person who takes drugs does not want his friends and parents to realize something, and will seek to get closer to other addicted persons and his dealer.
When in doubt, we should not hesitate to consult a doctor or an association for advice on how to react.
