Clean a mattress

We can keep a good mattress ten years as long as we look after it. We must protect it with a under-sheet and vacuum it regularly.
To clean the mattress, we start in the morning : we vacuum the mattress, open the windows, put on gloves and put on a protective mask.
Then take a cloth soaked in water and then wrung out and impregnate with ammonia. Then, rub the mattress with the fabric, insisting on the stains. Ammonia is effective on most stain.
Then rinsed with a soaked cloth.
Then leave the mattress to dry. We can shorten the drying time with a hair dryer.
When the mattress is dry, we can sprinkle baking soda to remove the smell of ammonia. We wait for half an hour and then we vacuum the mattress.
The bed is now ready to be done.
And if we do not know what to do the next day, we can repeat the procedure with the other side of the mattress.
